Unsee

Privacy Policy

Unsee collects nothing. We have no servers, no analytics, no accounts, and no tracking. The only data the extension stores is your checklist progress and the tools you selected, and that stays on your own device in Chrome's local storage. It never leaves your machine.

What we store and where

Unsee keeps exactly two things: which items on the checklist you have completed, and which AI tools you chose to address. Both are stored only in your browser's local storage through Chrome'sstorage permission. We cannot see this data, we do not back it up, and it is not sent anywhere. If you uninstall the extension, that data is gone.

What we do not do

  • We do not run servers or databases.
  • We do not use analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind.
  • We do not create or require an account.
  • We do not sell, share, or otherwise use your personal data because we do not have it.
  • We do not read the contents of any web page you visit.
  • We do not access your browsing history, keystrokes, passwords, or accounts.
  • We do not click buttons or make changes on your behalf inside ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Copilot.

Permissions we ask for and why

Unsee requests only two permissions:

  • storage — so the extension can remember your checklist progress and selected tools on your own device.
  • sidePanel — so the step-by-step guide can open in Chrome's side panel next to the page you are on.

That is the entire list. We do not ask for any additional permissions.

Third parties

When you click a link inside Unsee, you are taken to the official settings page of the AI tool you chose — such as ChatGPT/OpenAI, Google Gemini, Claude/Anthropic, or Microsoft Copilot. Once you leave Unsee, you are on that company's own site and governed by their privacy policy and terms. We are not affiliated with any of these companies and we do not control what they do with your data.

Your control

You can clear your saved progress at any time. The easiest way is to remove or reset the extension from Chrome's extension settings. Because nothing leaves your device, there is no account to delete and no data for us to remove from our servers.

Changes to this policy

If Unsee ever changes its privacy practices, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date. Unsee's core stance will not change: we collect nothing, and your data stays on your device.
